Michele Hetherington

Michele Hetherington is a visual artist and master printmaker. She holds an MFA in Fine Art and a BA in Printmaking from the National College of Art and Design, and is the Master Printer at Graphic Studio Dublin. Working across carborundum, etching, drypoint, and letterpress, she has exhibited in Ireland and internationally. In March 2026, Hetherington exhibited her latest body of work in a two person show, Under The Same Sky at Graphic Studio Gallery. Michele’s work is held in public and private collections across Ireland, Europe, the USA, and Japan.

Statement Through her practice, Michele Hetherington reflects on light and darkness, land and time, where perception unfolds rather than resolves. Her work evokes landscapes that emerge and dissolve within shifting shadow and atmosphere, tracing the gradual dissolution of matter as light recedes at nightfall. Working across multiple print techniques, she explores process and surface to create quiet, contemplative spaces that invite stillness and attunement to subtle, transient change.
